The Kenya Medical eTA is a travel authorisation for eligible travellers visiting Kenya for medical or healthcare-related purposes. Travellers must apply before departure through a simple online process that takes only a few minutes to complete.
Eligibility Criteria for Kenya Medical eTA
eTA eligibility depends on the traveller’s nationality. Before applying, applicants should review the Kenya eTA policy to check whether their country is eligible for an online Medical eTA.
Document Required for Kenya Medical eTA
To apply for a Kenya Medical eTA, applicants must submit the following documents as part of the online application:
- Passport: A readable scan of a valid passport’s biopage is required.
- Applicant’s Digital Photo: A recently taken photo of the applicant is required; it must be free of glare.
- Accommodation Booking: A confirmed booking of the applicant’s accommodation in Kenya must be uploaded.
- Airline/Cruise Booking: Flight or cruise tickets showing the applicant’s arrival in and departure from Kenya.
- Medical Referral Letter: A referral or appointment letter from the doctor or hospital in Kenya.

Kenya eTA Application Steps
Access Kenya eTA Application Form
Visit the Kenya eTA portal, register with your email and basic details to access the main application form.
Select eTA Type
Fill out the online application form with your correct travel and passport details, and select “Medical eTA” as your type.
Upload Documents & Pay the Fee
Provide clear scans of all required documents, pay the Kenya eTA fee using any payment method, and then submit the application.
Receive Kenya eTA
The Kenya Medical eTA will be sent via email after approval. Print a copy for your travel.
Processing Options and Fees

- Super Rush Processing - Processed within 1 - 2 Days

Is Kenya Medical eTA Extendable?
An extension may be granted on a case-by-case basis. To check if you are eligible for an extension, visit the Directorate of Immigration Services in Nairobi before your permitted stay expires.
