Requirements for Kenya Work eTA
To apply for the Kenya work eTA, the applicants must submit:
- Passport: A clear scan of the passport bio page showing the applicant’s personal details, photo, validity, and MRZ.
- Applicant Photograph: A recent digital photograph of the applicant, taken against a white plain background.
- Accommodation Proof: A confirmed hotel booking or a letter from a sponsor or host confirming where the applicant will stay in Kenya.
- Travel Tickets: A flight, cruise, or other transport booking showing the planned journey to and from Kenya.
- Company Letter: An official letter from the employer confirming the applicant’s employment and the purpose of the work-related trip to Kenya.

Can I enter Kenya before my Work eTA is approved?
No. Travellers will not be allowed entry into the country until they have an approved work eTA.

Is the Kenya Work eTA the same as a work permit?
No. The Work eTA is a travel authorisation and does not replace any additional permits or approvals required for employment in Kenya.
How to Apply for Kenya Work eTA

Step 1: Apply Online
Select “Work eTA” as your type in the application, then fill out the form with required personal, travel, and passport details.
Step 2: Submit Documents
Upload all the documents requested during the application process.
Step 3: Pay the eTA Fee
Pay the applicable eTA fee using an accepted online payment method. A payment confirmation will be sent by email once the transaction is completed.
Step 4: Receive the eTA
Once approved, the Kenya work eTA will be sent by email. Save a digital copy or print it before travelling to Kenya.
